Lithium batteries, not worth it

That's not what fracking produces.

Coal gas is nothing even remotely like what fracking produces.

I never said it was, just that syngas is another name for coal gas.

Reply to

No, but coal gas can be referred to as syngas.

No one said it was. Indeed I have no idea why you are confusing coal gas with natural gas from fracking.

Bullshit it is.

Only by the ignorant.

I am doing nothing of the sort.

You are correct. The gas released by fracking is natural gas, chiefly methane, the same as a natural gas well. There is nothing 'syn' about it.

Sylvia Plath found it quiet effective. You might blow the place up but it was more environmentally friendly than what the Japanese came up with.

They're polite though. They print warning signs advising responders to don hazmat suits prior to retrieving the corpse.

No imagination. In a Father Brown episode the vicar kills his gay blade brother by throwing a hammer off the roof.

Definitely not a player in the US market, nor is Dacia or a number of other manufacturers. Too bad. I had a Renault Alliance (Renault 9) rental that was a decent car -- but that was close to 40 years ago. I think they pulled out in '89. My brother had a Peugeot he really liked but they are long gone. The brief rumor that they were coming back to the US died.

No shit, Shakespeare, and neither is syngas remotely like the natural gas released by fracking. A gas comprised primarily of methane is not the same as a gas that is a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide.

Does that man planning new ones twice a week? Fueling new ones twice a week? And, is that decades-old info, or current? They aren't planning new ones, and have canceled some half-built. The subject being the energy for coming decades, you need to follow trends today, not last century.

China claimed they were going to enforce one child per family, and... did it according to plan. Cheap or not, the announcement of intention DOES support prediction of future actions. India, might be subject to revision. Trump tried to revise the US commitment, but he won't get another chance.

Aswan hydropower dominated Egypt's energy starting in 1980, and Ethiopia's new dam is the dominant source there, since last year. Don't 'look it up' and then skip reading the content. That's a habit that makes your postings look foolish.

The point is that 90% of US citizens are overweight, the roads are wide and straight and the average parking space will take a challenger tank, and gas is relatively cheap.

So the cars are twice as big and feature 3-8 litre engines instead of

1-3litre, and handle like elephants on tranquillisers.

There is no demand for a compact car designed for twisty congested European roads that will do 60mpg, and park in a space barely 6ft wide.

Synthetic gas can be made to be like methane.

Syngas is not the term used for coal gas, town gas, water gas or producer gas all of which are made from coal.

If this was just uk.d-i-y I might agree that coal gas is used to describe the gas coming from coal. However syngas is a term used more worldwide to describe a gas from coal gasification:

and the process:

I have no idea why so many seem to be in denial that syngas is an often used term for gases made from coal.

Yuk. H2S is stinky.

But your H2S receptors saturate quickly, which makes H2S particularly dangerous - you stop noticing the stink and can hang around for long enough to inhale a fatal dose. It's roughly as toxic as carbon monoxide.
