Our 1997 Toshiba TP50F90 RPTV only displays snow on any channel now.
The menu settings will not allow me to adjust anything to do with the tuner section either but all other settings still work and are adjustable.
This includes ant1/ant2 and starsight, no go.
We're using a VCR on one of the other inputs in the meantime until I figure out if this is worth fixing.
Otherwise picture and audio is still great on this older set.
Any ideas on the problem and costs involved?

Get out the user manual and find out how to set up the tv to work with a cable box and see if that is turned on somehow.
Some of these units have two tuners, & two IF circuits. Can be a lot of work, but remove & resolder these parts. Sky.
It's not setup to use it......
I'm assuming eprom seems to be corrupted somehow or partially frozen...
This set does.....and I can't switch to ant2......it's frozen on ant1...
