Air America, has an infomercial, a "talk show", starring Al Franken. In order to promote their product (democrat party), Air America *BUYS* air time on radio stations across the US.

Air America contracted with stations across the US but didn't have the money to pay for the air time they bought. They bounced checks to stations in at least the Chicago and LA markets.

The station owners in Chicago and LA got mad when the checks bounced, and stopped the infomercial in the middle of the broadcast.

Air America (Al Franken) bounces checks, gets kicked off the air.

After nearly a couple decades of listening to both extremes on radio and TV I have come to the conclusion that the left is the real enemy in the U.S. and abroad. The left has been taken over by neo socialists and hypersensitive victocrats that would think nothing of tearing down the entire constitution and the freedoms that allow free enterprise and private ownership. It's a party that protected a known criminal governor and wife from Arkansas when faced with felonies and impeachment yet seek the removal of a president for legally attacking a country that violated a cease-fire agreement and 17 U.N. mandates.

Although anyone with a pulse can see through the left's obvious and often silly agendas, the American and foreign press continues to promote their naive and dangerous concepts without an ounce of scrutiny.

The reason why I had earlier quit the discussion was that ANY THINKING PERSON would have seen that RSW has totally impeached himself WRT any kind of credibility. For those who still believe his nonsense, there will be no hope for an kind of open minded (and clear thinking) evaluation. For those who accept the fact that HOWEVER often they agree or disagree with me (they don't have to politically agree with every one of my positions), the Air America scheme has been fully exposed as the infomercial that it really is. Not only that, it APPEARS that they havent even done a competent job of negotiating their contracts and/or paid their "dues."

And yes, the reports were on TWO radio stations, and it is a lie to claim that it was only one because the TWO stations are owned by a single owner that was apparently screwed by the lefties.

Also, I don't know why people are making such a big deal out of 1kW MW radio stations!!! For a large metro area (in a noisy city), 10kW is the minimum that makes any sense for easy reception (especially at night, when people have time to listen without disrupting their work.)

1kW tends to be too weak, even for moderate sized cities like Indy, Cinnci or Columbus OH. When looking at LA or Chicago Metro, a 1kW station is a more than a little on the weak side.

It is too bad that the Air America scam has been trying to take away minority targeted broadcast time, not even able to clearly and easily reach the whole metro areas. It seems alot like the Air America scheme has been poorly planned.

Organized complex thinking hasn't been much of an attribute of the left, but they are good at organizing based upon simplistic chants that are so common in the protest marches of the incompetents.

Perhaps they have tried to take advantage of the financial distress that is so common in minority areas -- and even trying to take away their radio stations :-(. Oh well, it is MOST STRONGLY a leftist attribute to believe that the 'ends justifies the means.'

For a court officer (lawyer) to lie in a deposition, that is about the most inexcusable form of deception that is possible in our court system. People have gone to jail for YEARS for doing what BJ Clinton did in is deposition.

Perhaps the most horrible thing that Clinton did was to leave us effectively undefended and to allow the wall between the various data collection mechanism be maintained. Many of BJs problems were PROBABLY the very 'lawyer' mentality that he had, and was too much in the box that confused legal sophistry with real truth and justice. He might have actually been a much better man and president, if his wife wasn't a lawyer who was also tainted by legal sophistry.

BJ is a criminal in both technically legal terms (in his actions, not necessarily technically convicted, however he did agree to his VERY VERY LIGHT punishments) and also his actual irresponsible behavior.

Please re-read the above, and please refer to where anyone claimed that Al Franken bounced any checks. Are you so very mentally incompetent that you cannot understand the difference between Air America (who apparently bounced the checks) and Al Franken (on-air infomercial 'talent.')

Who claimed that it wasn't due to a business problem. It is fairly clear that the Air America people didnt' have all of their ducks in order, and screwed things up pretty badly. If they had such problems in dealing with the vendors selling the airtime (for the informercial), then they should have found another vendor.

My guess is that 1kW stations was about as good as they could find, because the bigger 5kW-50kW stations were too busy making money with Rush, Sean, Boortz, Witchie poo (Dr Laura), etc.

Hint: it really isn't that bad that Air America is an informercial scheme -- I believe that the 700 Club is in a similar category. It is also seems like an evangelical-type scheme, where they ask for donations to keep on the air.

If the Air America scheme was going to be 'profitable' and a 'viable' product, it is fairly clear that the stations would like that kind of fare. Frankly, if I owned a radio station, even though I personally believe that the VEHEMENT lefties (not all lefties) tend to be dishonest and narrow minded, I'd try to expand my market with a lefty radio presence. The 'centrist and conservative' market is already well supported, and a large percentage of the market (the wakko-left) isn't addressed by AM talk radio.

My guess is that the lefties (from what I have listened) often come across as too strident. The Lefties and Dr Laura tend to have a similar overly strident tone.

Being anti-Bush should certainly be one of the agendas of the left, but it seems like it is most of the agenda, as if they are fixated with almost a paranoia. Politics based upon personal hatred isn't a good thing. (Don't claim the hate thing about Rush -- he is different from that, he is more a lampooner. I seem to remember comments recently that some of his listeners were angry with him when he ran into Hillary and he didn't insult her!!! His attitude, however boring to me, isn't really hateful.)

When seeing O'Reilly and Al Franken together, I saw an almost 'evil' coming from Al, almost similar to what can be seen when an ignorant child (like Al) uses really low calibre, smart-alike claims. This doesn't make O'Reilly a 'good guy', but Al is definitely a trash mouth.

I don't know about you but I do not have a single friend or accomplice that has died of mysterious causes yet Bill Clinton had 65 plus friends and associates all die under cloudy circumstances. One was shot in the back three times, burned and tossed into a public trash bin. This death was ruled a suicide by the coroner, a family friend of the Clintons.

Remember what DEE DEE myers used to say when the administration was caught in a lie. "That statement is no longer operative".
