small 6 pin vertical mount connector with switched contact

Hi - I'm looking for something that's kinda odd. I'm looking to replace a 2x3 .1" vertical header I'm currently using for programming on all of my AVR boards. Ideally I'd like to find something that's smaller and easier to remove. But also, I want a switch on the vertical mount connector that goes open when the connector is attached to the header, and closed when there is no connector attached to it.

Does such a beast exist? I need it to be at most as large as the current connector - .2"x.3". It would make my life a whole lot easier!

Thanks,

-Mike

It would be easier if you invert your logic. I.e. closed with connector attached.

.1 (2) x .2 (4) in 0.5 pitch would work.

It would be

Problem is - I have a capacitor on a reset line (one of the 6 pins on that programming header) that I want disconnected when the programming cable is connected. I'd be very open to other suggestions though.

Stick a 1K resistor between the capacitor and the reset pin/header pin. that's gotta be cheaper than a switch, as long as your programmer has strong-enough pull-up/pull down all should be fine.

Bye. Jasen
