OT: "Global Warming" vs. "Science"

Big clip (I know you hate that and that is why I did it ;>)

Science has no brands ... check your MIT notes.

There is no such thing as "political science."

So now we don't know to whom you're responding.

Sure there are. Your fallacious brand and my "prove it" version ;-)

I think _I_ said that-------^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ some time ago, something like "political science is NOT science".

Hey, enough of this. You are a smart guy ... never denied that. Your political agenda is very different and you feel that I am full of crap and I feel that you are full of crap.

Don't much care, Jim, as I am going to cancel your vote in November!

not really, global cooling is happening, to some extent, by condensation trails from aircraft, reflecting the sunshine from the earth. Some research has shown that there was a noticible rise in the temperature over the US after 9/11 when no air planes flew over US territory.

That was in just 3 days, ouch.

Wrong! I'm going to vote Democrat in November, so we can have war on our own shores. It's called "put up or shut up science" ;-)

We've become the United States of Pansies... might as well get it over with :-(

Yeah, and I am going to shit gold tonight.

As to put-up or shut-up science, that has been the way of real science, since the beginning. Science has the best negative feedback system ever invented. Bullshit gets slaughtered. The time constant can be years, however. Global warnings (not a misspelling) have a long time constant. I simply advocated a prudent posture and was rewarded by an attack from you which included name calling (liberal weenie). Eff off Jim! Attacking reasonable and moderate posts such as mine puts you into the wino category (you cook with wine and drink too much wine and then get on the Internet and share your wine-induced states of altered reality with folks who find that disgusting).

So, I have been promoted by the great J.T. (a five-star general in the righteous-right-army) from a weenie to a pansie. Where do I collect my epaulets?

Stop already with your self-serving sign-off message, by the way. It is redundant, boring, and reveals why you post your drival here (the only thing lower than a bottom feeder is an ego feeder).

Newsweek article .....

"There are ominous signs that the earth's weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production -- with serious political implications for just about every nation on earth.

blah blah blah

The evidence in support of these predictions has now begun to accumulate so massively that meteorologists are hard-pressed to keep up with it.

blah blah blah

Climatologists are pessimistic that political leaders will take any positive action to compensate for the climatic change, or even to allay its effects."

They could have printed this stuff yesterday, but actually printed in April

1975, the article was titled "The Cooling World".

This is the coldest October that I can remember here in Phoenix.

I've been here 44 years and the historic date where you might need an evening sweater was on Halloween. This year you've needed a sweater for at least the past two weeks.

Why do you feel the need comment SO SO SO often, when you really, usually, have nothing informative to say. I also snipe from time to time, but I try to keep it to a minimum and try to be more clever than this lame reply of yours.

Maybe you need another way to vent about the condition that keeps you so near the computer?

Yep. That's the guy.

Where's your sense of irony. Apparently you don't have one.

At least he wasn't OJ the murderer that got away. This isn't a perfect world. Two major flawed trials in a row. I think Rodney was the more innocent of the two.
