But wait...

MORE RESEARCH NEEDED

But the researchers said more studies were needed

Kinda obvious when you wonder what happens to the air downstream of the mills.

Also, what's the inverse of "argument from authority"?

I've given this some thought and came to the opposite conclusion.

Say I have a wind farm in Oregon. It produces electricity that I ship to California. In California, somebody turns on a resistance heater that uses that electricity. California just got warmer. Doesn't conservation of energy demand that Oregon is COLDER in the vicinity of the wind farm? Or at least lower energy...

Yes, more studies are needed. Who wants to write the grant proposal?

It is after all the golden age of the green science scam.

They are talking about *local* warming around the turbines. Wind energy not turned into electricity is dissappated locally rather than being spread out. It's the same total global heat energy input as far as I can see. The windmills just turn some of it into electricity first.

Of Course! You just removed about .001% of the energy that was in that moving air mass using those turbines, that were created by temperature differentials in the atmosphere, so your area is about .00001% colder (winds generally are moving cold air to warmer areas at our latitudes...)

Didn't you notice? 8-)

Excelt that the turbulence in the vicinity of the wind farm increases causing more energy to be dropped out of the air, local to the turbine. Crops will fail down wind because of frost.

Definitely more study is needed. Anyone want to submit the proposal to Obama?

So, you agree...NOT warmer, as in opposite conclusion.

Don't they combat frost by spraying water? Spray water out of the turbine blades. Where can I get the proposal format for some of that money?? ;-) Oh crap, I think I just blew my patent protection...

That's what's neat about this environmental stuff. You can invent something cheap and simple, patent it, the government requires everybody use it. It's a win-lose with me the winner.

Contingent on reversion those initial findings, of course.
