Some say the democrats caused WWII with their foreign policy.

Among other things. We embargoed Japan, pushing them into a corner where war was really the only "out". We dealt with the european war as nothing more than an arms sale opportunity for a couple years to get our idle factories working.

Well,Japan had ALREADY invaded China and was making war there. IIRC,the embargo was to get them to stop invading China. War was -their- choice over disengaging from China,we were still negotiating. (NEGOTIATING!! Democrat useless tactic??)

IIRC,Japan also attacked Russia.

Well,we didn't start that one,had nothing to do with it. IMO,we picked the right side.

This time,"we" picked losers.

Yes. Not negotiating with Iraq has worked out so well that . . . oops, even Bush has figured it's better to negotiate with Iran and N. Korea.

No, Russia declared war on Japan right at the end of WWII hoping to get a piece of it but gave up when the US A-bombed Japan. Something to think about when people wail about Hiroshima.

Ummm, did you forget about Pearl Harbor?

Yep. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice and all of the rest of the losers.

Please tell me why Canadians feel they should have ANY say in OUR government?

I think we should charging Canadians a seriously high "crossing fee", since you want to enjoy our country yet castigate it at every turn.

Please tell me why the Yanks should not only feel they should have a say in other countries' governments but the right to invade them at will?

Yeah, that'll help the economies of the northern border states - NOT!

I'm sure you have verifiable proof of this. Let's have it.

If it comes to that, Bush will pardon him. As if this isn't obvious.

No, I assume they lie. For example, I assume their claim of 12,000 fighters is much higher than the actual number.

Whether he lies isn't material. The truth or falsity of a statement is independent of who makes it--the statement is what it is, and it's either true or it isn't.

So I ask again: are we "teetering under the blows of the mujahedeen," and are we "preparing to pack up and flee." ?

Are we readying to abandon 25 million Iraqis, including 12 million who risked their lives to vote and be free--the daily violence there now underscoring the risks they took in voting--and leave them weakened, chaotic, vulnerable to the designs and ambitions of their neighbors?

They've got plenty of oil, so, according to the usual conspiracy theories, we should've invaded them long ago--they ought to be quite worried!
