I can't seem to access newsgroups through eternal-september. Their web site is working and reports that their servers are up. I get an NNTP error with Thunderbird. Is it eternal-september or maybe my Thunderbird got messed up?

They seem to think they are still up, but the number of connections has dropped to half. I guess they lost half their servers including the one we were on.

I'm currently on eternal-september. I've always had problems with s.e.d, I need to access it before any other groups to be able to see any messages. But that might have something to do with me using GNUS.

I think they had problems for a while with too high load (perhaps because of fewer servers than usual, rather than more clients). But it seems fine now.

It was Code 400, was the error that got reported. That sounds like a flood to the servers.. Most likely scammers trying to spread their faults offerings.

It was actually a server issue, some database routine was running amuck.
