I'm on the dole, as you call it, due to permanent disability, but, I've been needing suppliment insurance, up to now simply not paying co-pays if they were too large to handle. Nibbling at them a few $$ here and there. I wonder how that affects folks like me.

What Jim seems to be incapable of taking on board is that the current US medical system costs roughly twice as much as the French and German equivalents, which deliver rather better health care, and three times as much as the UK equivalent, which delivers much better health care for the poor, and perfectly adequate health - but rationed - care to the rest of the population, who occasionally drop dead before the system can getting around to fixing them.

All Obama has to do to save money is to look at what the rest of the advanced industrial countries do, and copy it; the potential for savings taxpayer money is huge. The US medical insurance racket which is now doing well out of collecting twice as much money as its European counterparts for providing a rather poorer service is well aware of this, and fund the usual liars in the media, for the benefit of uncritical nit-wits like Jim.
