Did you read the voluminous material in the faq?
I don't understand why no one mentioned the EEPROM. I must be wrong, but I thought your symptom was due to the channel preset data getting corrupted.

Yes....based on the original symptoms corrupted data in the EPROM is certainly suspect BUT the grounds connections resoldering in and around the OBT (on board tuner) is a very FIRST procedure so if the EPROM is replaced, the new one won't get corrupted. A full tuner alignment must be done or if good EPROM data cam be downloaded with the Chipper Checker the job will be much easier and less time consuming. Yes... there is "voluminous" and very good material in the FAQ. Dan
