Magnavox/Philips 19PR14-C222 TV sync issue

This old TV works fine in my kitchen. Recently it has failed to "sync" when initially turned on. Sound is fine. Syncs when warm, after 5 minutes or so. All the solder joints "look" nice. Not responsive to pressure on components or the main board. "Chill Out" didn't find the right component. Can anyone point me to a schematice that might help or give me a better idea exactly which specific component is likely to be going bad/badly connected? Thank you.

John: What is the chassis number listed near the model number?? Certain chassis designs were subject to the symptom you described as a result of a dried up or faulty filter electrolytic near the VR... usually 100u @ 200V. Daniel Sofie Electronics Supply & Repair

I'm sure I can spot a 100u capacitor ...but I'm drawing a blank at the term "VR".... could you elucidate?

Dan,

C 432 [100u] was warm to the touch and slightly domed. Swapped with a good one. Back in business.

Thank you very much, indeed!

John... glad that you got it fixed....

btw: .... VR = voltage regulator \and c432 is the filter cap for the regulated B+.
