JED file translator

Hi all,



I have a JED file for an old PAL device and I have to put this design in an EPLD. Is there a tool that can read the JED file and translate it to any usable language (vhdl, verilog or other ) ???



Have you any tip for this handling JED files ??

Some choices:

  • Some device programmers will do this : eg PGM 16V8 as 16L8 etc
  • Anachips WinPLACE will take old JEDs and create JEDs for their SPLDs [but it seems to not create an EQN report, which would have been sensible.. ]
  • Search for JED2EQN, from Natsemi's ancient Opal sw
  • reverse engineer of JEDs is not complex, but is a task best avoided...
