I have recently installed ISE9.1, since that moment I am no longer able to start EDK 8.2 . Has anybody had a similar problem?

That will not work. The version of EDK must match the version of ISE. EDK 8.2 will only work with ISE 8.2, and you need to use EDK 9.1 with ISE 9.1. I do not know when EDK 9.1 will be released.
