President Obama can be a real smartass! I would have been pissed off if he talked to me like he talked to some of the republican congressmen. Mike

Yeah, butt! If McCain had any balls he'd stuffed that crack about the campaign being over right down Obummer's throat.
Unfortunately I fear that the Tea Party will fractionalize the conservative vote. Add that to the fact that Republicans can't lose all their s*it about abortion and religion, and you have Democrats holding their majorities in BOTH Houses :-(
Oh, well! I have an escape plan. Do you? ...Jim Thompson

I love to cook with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food.
Some Republicans are stuid enough - or ignorant enough - to see Sarah Palin as a serious politician. You can't take the kind of nincompoop seriously.

And a lot of Democrats elected an amateur from Chicago based on his ability to read fuzzy concepts from a teleprompter. I'll send Sarah some money if she runs.

I feel more confident than that, I think the TeaParty Movement will stick with the republicans. Here's my thought,
"The Teaparty movement is my voice, the republican party is my hope for salvation." MK
I agree, I'm a conservative that believes in choice.
Do you have an extra room? ;-) Mike
Same here. I've said before, I don't care about anything but defense and balanced budgets. Everything else, who you screw, and what you smoke are nobody's business but your own.
If you don't mind living in New Zealand and commuting to Hong Kong ;-) ...Jim Thompson

My favorite Palin Quote: "So, how's that hopey-changey stuff workin' out for ya?"
Cheers! Rich
You betcha. And think about snowmobiles zooming around on the White House lawn.

she should pick Jessica Simpson as her vicepresident, then it would truly be the perfect practical joke :)
-Lasse
She should do what Obama did, pick some old-timer who knows how Washington works. Of course, she should avoid demented blowhard serial plagiarists.

Put antlers on all Demonicrats.
A truly Republican level of insight.
For a brain implant?
The US comedy industry is largely in favour of Sarah Palin as a candidate - pretty much everybody except the writers, actually, since Sarah Palin's own output is self-satirising.
Bit of trick requirement there. Sarah Palin is close to illiterate, which would make it difficult for her to recognise a plagiarist if she ran into one.
But the risk has to be low. Republicans aren't into knowledge, so they don't really see the point of recycling other people's good ideas.
Sarah Palin was going to base her dealings with Russia on her experience as governor of Alaska, which does - as she pointed out - have a common border with Russia. A spot of plagiarism might have generated a little more confidence in her connection with reality.
-- Bill Sloman, Nijmegen
Please explain the "close to illiterate" claim. She was a pretty good governor of Alaska.

Tested the healthcare system this morning. "N" fell, landed on her tail bone, resulting in two vertebrae stress fractures :-(
See was in such pain I couldn't move her, called 911... bingo, medics arrive in minutes, roll her onto a back board, ambulance to hospital.
Multiple X-Rays, fractures found but no complicating issues... just take horse-pill-sized Vicodin... whew! ...Jim Thompson

I'll keep my guns, freedom, and money. You can keep the change.
I hope she didn't fall because you forced her into the attic to fix your light.
You didn't want _me_ to get hurt did you?
Actually I got bored with the Olympic figure skating "analysis" (as bad as feetsball) and I went to bed - "N" _was_ a figure skater in her teens). "N" decided she wanted some yogurt and berries. When pulling the berries out of the fridge, the berries spilled and she slipped, knocking her out... I didn't hear her :-(
When she came to, she came to our bedroom complaining of the pain but refusing my attempts to get on with 911 (she's very stubborn :-), went to sleep for about three hours, then discovered she was too painful to walk, or even roll over in bed... I couldn't move her without screams and she'd pass out for a few seconds.
Called 911, firemen/medics here in just a few minutes... station is only about a mile away. Decided she needed to be transported and called an ambulance in (also the fire department here). ...Jim Thompson

Sloman's dislike for Palin is her best testimonial yet.
The Left is almost universally grim, and often angry and rude. If you want civility, or humor, look to the Right. Sarah is cheerful, cute, and funny; Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank and Obama are none of those.
No wonder the US is swinging back conservative.
