A story about an isolated hospital that isn't working as well as it should have done isn't a fact, it is an anecdote. An equally partisan trawl through your newspapers would find something equally distasteful. Meanwhile you ignore the fact that you don't have universal health care, and still spend half as much again per head on health care as the universal French and German systems, which happen to provide equally good health care as the best of your system, and to everybody.

But Palin was governor of a state of 5 million, and the city of Los Angeles has about the same. Alaska has a ton of oil to pay the bills, and they don't worry about budgets since they have money to throw away. So, what is the big deal about being governor of rich Alaska verses Mayor of poor LA?

As for healthcare, I get it free from the VA system. I couldn't care less what it costs, since somebody else pays. I earned it, they pay.

The real point being that if an ambulance was needed (as it was), it's not there. With a heart attack or stroke, minutes count.

Yes, Sloman uses his PhD credential to push his liberal agenda. Typical know nothing academic with probably above average IQ. I like Palin, but there are thousands, unheard of like her. McCain choose Palin to neutralize Hillary and Palin had good record in a safe rich state. And anybody can write a book if they have something interesting to say. But it was all a waste of time against the black guy from Chicago. No female could beat Obama.
