(1) When connected to a phone line

(2) My thoughts run simply to a multivibrator

Can you make a fairly genuine-sounding pig squeal? That gravely- sounding "eeeeeeek" with simultaneous low and high components?

Do it while inhaling. That's the key.

Funny thing is that I can't really hear it while I'm doing it. So I ask other people whether the sound is annoying, then I demonstrate it. They don't answer, instead they cover their ears and start kicking. My shins.

Get somebody to write an Eliza-ish matronly woman loaded with marketing bafflegab instead of Psych 101 bafflegab... it should waste their time amusingly.
