Anyone know of any academic papers by Sloman? With his full name?

Since he hates America so much I want to make sure he stays out.

He's given quite a few references here on s.e.d.

You have that right?? Just how would you propose to do that?

I figured I'd hear from the leftist weenie ;-)

Sloman is NOT a US citizen.

Sloman spouts anti-American blather.

Do you want him in our country?

Ooops! I forgot. Leftist weenies would invite terrorists here, kiss their asses, do away with any religion except Islam, and beg forgiveness.

You threw plenty of mud and made yourself look like an ass, but you didn't answer my question. How do you propose to "make sure he stays out," or are you just another blowhard?

Providing the "Collected Works of Sloman" to INS/ICE with a copy to Senator Kyl should do the trick.

I know that Sloman has been applying for work in the US... what gall, bad-mouthing your potential employer's country.

I'd welcome Bill Sloman to our country. In fact, I hope he comes over, and starts a business of his own. I think he'd find it very instructive, even transforming. And it would sure save us a lot of explaining about how this is really a pretty darn good country, warts and all.

This shows blatantly just how stupid you really are. I have never heard Bill Sloman "bad-mount" the United States, but I have heard him give an honest report of what he sees the insane government pulling over on us.

I love America, but I hate the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld cabal, and I will continue to offer you common sense in hopes that one day you might snap out of your hypnotic trance.

Well, you have to understand, Thompson is ossifying in his old age, and he keeps supporting the repugnocrats because he's terrified that if anyone but a neocon is in charge, the liberal weenies are going to take away all of his stuff and he'll wind up filthy and starving in the streets just like "them".

Can't live without nine big-screen TVs now can we?

Nobody - least of all me - is arguing that the US. isn't a pretty darn good country, warts and all, but it isn't perfect yet, and there are a few things that we do better in Europe.

Characters like Jim Thompson who start foaming at the mouth when any foreigner suggests that any aspect of the U.S.A. is anything less than perfect don't do their country any service. Forwarding my collected works to his thought police would just get him labelled as an imperceptive time waster - I was cleared to "most secret" when I visited U.S. Arm ECOM at Fort Monmouth in 1971, and to similar levels when I worked at EMI Central Research in 1976-79, and my opinions haven't changed to any significant degree over the years,

I'm unlikely to try and start a business anywhere - I've seen enough of what that involves to know that I'd be no good at it. I can design and fix circuits better than most of the people I've met during my career, and work on even terms with the rest, but haggling with customers and keeping track of suppliers requires a flexibility of attention that I've not got.

Jim, my socialist ideology, such as it is, positively encourages privately owned small businesses, and my wife, who is a good deal more socialist than I am, is always encouraging me to go into business for myself. I think I'd be lousy at it, but I've absolutely no ideological objections.

You should have realised by now that your classification of "socialist" lumps together a very wide spectrum of political opinion, in much the same way that the European classification "radical right" lumps the Democrats into the same bin as the Republicans and the John Birch Society.

Only from the areas where a large proportion of house-holders have guns in their houses. My American contacts all claim to live a long way such hot-beds of lunacy.

Join the club, apparently nearly 65% of the country now.

That's not likely to happen. But if the rest of us can't get our act together REAL SOON NOW, the issue will continue to be moot.

I don't dare, it's a simple observation. You make death threats, etc, and "cancel" them with a smily, that's *very* sick.
