The price they're falling to, you could put RFID tags in notes.

Yup. For some years, they've been trying to phase it out and turn the Good Ol' Dollar into pocket change, but it continues to meet massive resistance from Joe Lunchbox.

Of course, the fact that they've been making them the size of a quarter doesn't help.

And that damn brass dollar - what a joke! It's almost indistinguishable from a video game token!

Unless it's embedded, it'd be WAY too easy to counterfeit. They already have the magnetic ink, after all.

Interestingly, they're called "constant diameter shapes".

The $1 coins have both been miserable failures. Both have been too similar to a quarter.

So get a lawyer, or anyone else who's had a BAR exam.

Not for anti-counterfeiting, but for easy scanning by blind people (or machine counting)

How many sites did you have to paw through to prove that you're a typical Europoen?

It has 7 sides. 5 sides would be too pointy. Ditto for the 20p coin.

The 3d coin had twelve sides.
