Frankly, I'm flattered that he went to the trouble of looking at my website in detail. More views for me!

There's an apt Irish (or Hiberno-English) expression, "He has himself well-imagined."

I am simply one who "does not suffer fools gladly".

My wife has decided my personality is that of Dr. Martin in the PBS series ;-) ...Jim Thompson

I didn't really think your questions constituted bullying. Whatever that says!

Agreed. Bullying implies enforcement without reason. I couldn't make sense of Tim's bloviations... neither could Win. ...Jim Thompson

She may not have been talking about the intolerant part. Doc Martin was unique in several ways, particularly regarding women. I assume your wife is a woman.

I doubt it, Jim. That character displays classic symptoms of Asperger's Syndrome (a fact that's not even been alluded to in all the episodes of all the series to date AFAIK). I hate TV dramas, but DM is the sole exception I make. Can't get enough of the Doc! :-D

A friend of mine was in GB last year (or was it earlier this year?) and happened to visit the town where they were filming the latest season of Doc Martin. She met the actors including Martin Clunes. She said they were all very friendly and she and her friend were allowed to watch filming!

Many Dr. Blake scenes are filmed in the suburb in which I live. Most of the older houses were built in the 1910s-1940s when the suburb was first developed. (I live in a '30s art deco place, for example.) They use CGI to remove the ugly buildings that came later, from the 1970s

- present.
