Florida voting stats on election day

Florida provides information about the party affiliation of all the votes t hat have been cast in the election.

Leading up to the election there were mail in ballots and In person early v oting. These ballots are associated with a party but the actual votes are not coun ted.

In dependent votes are not accounted for in this analysis.

_______________________________________ Leading up to the election:

VBM Ballots - DEMs lead by 673,828

In-Person Early Voting - REPs lead by 558,412

Combined Early Voting - DEMs lead by 115,416 _______________________________________________

So leading up to the election the dems led the repubs by 115 thousand votes .

For election day the counties continuously pour data out as to votes cast a nd party affiliation.

As of about 11 am there has been an almost perfect line of 40,000vote/hour advantage going to the republicans. At about 11am the democrat advantage o f 115,000 votes has been erased and the republicans are ahead by 55,000 vot es. If these rates hold up over the rest of the day, the republicans will have cast more than 300,000 more votes than the democrats.

In general people do not flip from D to R or vice versa, and this assumes t hat those who declare as independent will split 50/50.

in 2016 going into election day the dem advantage was almost identical to 2

020, but in 2016 the republicans gained and overcame the dems but by a pret ty narrow margin

If this data is good data then Florida is going to go for trump with a grea ter percentage than in 2016. .....

BTW trump doing a rally in NOVA today (Northern VA)...

It seems that Dems are more likely than Repubs to vote by mail. I think that's because they are more afraid of going out and catching the virus. Dems are in general more afraid. Or actually afraid people are more likely to be Dems.

Schrodinger's leftist - terrified people who are also fighting police in the streets and terrorizing, looting and burning whole cities.

Not really a congruent set of qualities.

What's courage and what's hubris tends to be a subjective thing, no doubt about it

Seen on social media: "I've been intentionally reckless to see if the virus would kill me. Felt fine so far."

'bout sums it up

A courageous vote today or a vote cast with hubris all amount to the same thing .... a vote. If the courageous and hubris voters carry the day then what can be said?

Nice. Radical numbers.

Fear is a powerful steering force on most people, even in a world that is not very dangerous any more. Most people have a fear AGC... they crank up the gain as much as is required to stay terrified.

Fear and peer pressure and respect for authority have strong effects on electronic design too. "Design" means breaking rules and taking risks and blowing things up.

"We will pay the price, but we will not count the cost" is a philosophy, but not one I would have expected many Americans to be sympathetic to. And they say socialism wouldn't work in America!

Is this that "culturally straight" thing I've heard about? Kinda makes me wish for the days when how man you were was based on how many women you slept with. Ah the good ol days.

Misogynist *and* racist.

Running lines straight out of the most radical sex-negative feminist philosophy about sex is not what I would have expected, if everyone enjoyed themselves how is this misogynist.

My old man was a Dem he did okay against the Waffen SS. He didn't try to be their pals.

Trumpers were happy to say the most terrible things about Dad when they found out he was a Democrat who served in WWII. "I'm glad the piece of shit is dead now, he was a traitor" and so forth.
