The drought and heat waves are not something temporary, they are the new climate. Any relief from these conditions is what's temporary. This is the new reality, get over it.
In 2020 the smoke from wildfires reduced solar farm outputs by as much as 30% in places. Wonderful.

Something tells me that since the current heat wave and drought is breaking records everywhere every single day that it must be worse than the 1930s event. Dunno for sure, just a hunch.

Climate Change is not causing our water shortages. Growing rice and cotton and almonds in a desert is.
Emptying reservoirs to protect a few ugly fish doesn't help either.
Politics goes with the 'cause celebre', and unity among a couple hundred nations necessarily confers some power; 'twas ever thus.

If you don't know then why not look up the records and find out for yourself instead of listening to others? The info is out there, easy to find...
Think for yourself, if you let others do it for you they will simply tell you what they want you to know and nothing else.

Climate change isn't helping - California's enthusiasm for using up more water on irrigation than they can rely on isn't helping either.
Once a species has gone extinct, it's impossible to get it back. Mostly there's no real need to, but irrevocable decisions shouldn't be taken lightly.
There are 100s of times as many temperature sensors around as there were 90 years ago. And ours are read every minute, every day. Of course there are more records.
The Stevenson boxes are painted with organic paint now too; not whitewash.
True, but not all sensors are 'official' and recorded.
Albedo matters; chemistry of the pigment and base does not. Anything close to minimum sunlight warming (i.e. white) has low air temperature/insolation crosstalk. It has always been white.
Listen to the forecast. It's RECORD AFTER RECORD AFTER RECORD- and these are very significant excesses- far and away worse than anything in the recorded past. Climate change is turning the world into a breeder reactor of extreme weather.
How long have there been thermometers in the area where all these records are falling? In many cases it has only been since the 1940s or
50s...You are no longer able to think rationally about this subject. If you can't handle criticism or discussion of climate change - then it has become a religion where you mustn't debate the precepts because that is blasphemy!
Scientists debate everything, that is how they get closer to the truth.

Trees and sediments are indirect means of discovering previous climate disasters. The number being repeated is the current mess hasn't been seen for over a thousand years.
Latex paint is black at thermal wavelengths. Whitewash is not.
The Sun determines what 'thermal wavelengths' are important for daylight hours, and white coatings, latex paint or whitewash, are certainly not black.
Air temperature during night isn't much modulated by the color of the paint.
The problem that the white paint is intended to solve, is cloud-passing-over transient temperature changes, that a scheduled reading-per-hour regime would find noisy compared to air temperature not next to a sunlit surface.
