I can certainly attest to the high quality of NZ whites from the Marlborough and Hawks Bay regions. However, they are not much cheaper (if at all) than equally good local West Australian whites in my opinion. Perhaps being closer to "the land of the long white cloud", people in the eastern states get a better price break than we do.
