Yamaha DVD-CX1 spindle motor part # AAX47780

Mark can likely answer this one. Is the correct Panasonic motor for this one the RXQ1218kit? I once had the cross reference for the numbers for these Yamaha units that had the bad panasonic spindle motors, but can't find it. This appears to be the one. I can get it in 1 day from Tritronics in Miami for less than half the Yamaha price, and with Yamaha on the opposite coast it will take a week to get it.

Well, I've only done one of these - and the part came from Yamaha. The Panasonic part number from the Yamaha manual is RXQ0742. Yamaha original part number AAX47780, though they may have a new number for the kit.

You could maybe call Panasonic at 800-833-9626 and see if they sub.

When I request the RXQ0742 part (NPRXQ0742B) from Prime Electronics, their web site suggests "See NPRXQ1218KIT". BTW, the trade price in Australia is AU$70.
