I did some research and don't see where this chassis had the tuner solder problems as others. The set was intermittent on powering up and now won't power up. A previous post on this particular set was stretched width and no adjustment control, and this could lead to more problems if not corrected. I assume this is the "more" problems. Are these symptoms likely an eeprom fault? I tried accessing the service menu, but the codes I tried wouldn't work. Any help much appreciated. Thanks as always group. - model #G27751AT.
RCA CTC169CF5 power problem

Forget the eeprom on that set. Not addressable and is just for customer settings. You'll find a million guys telling you about the power supply and sweep faults so, I'll mention a fail not talked about that much. Look a U1001 and on the right side you'll see a blue ceramic crystal. Look for moisture there and if so, that needs replacing and the two
180uf caps next to it that leaked. At this age, I'm finding that fail more and more. Of course that's not the only fail for intermittent startup and dead but, it's worth checking.

Come on now those troubles were in the on board tuner chassis ctc
175,6,7 not the ctc169 series.Search this group for CTC169 you will find more than enough help I is sure.

The eeprom on a 169 could cause an intermittent video problem. ( The set would start up with no video and after a restart, the video would be there.) Saw it twice while doing RCA warranty service. Chuck
