Is Telefunken TEBR 700 Ebook sold in Germany yet?

Ich kan auch Deutch lesen.

When I google "Telefunken+TEBR+700" from S.Africa, I get only only a list of S.A. URLs. Is google 'zu klug' and knows I won't go to Germany to buy this Telefunken-Ebook, or is Telefunken test-marketing it first only in S.Africa. I.e. it's not yet a proven product.

Prices here are R2'500/9 =ca. Euro: 277, which is OK if the ePaper lasts. I've read that ePaper displays have a short life?

Telefunken ist not a company anymore.

It had been liquidated long ago. The name has been bought by french company Thomson. Thomson is now also bankrupt.

The reader is manufactured by another company (I don't know which one, maxbe Foxit) and only sold under the name of Telefunken in your country.

Forget ist.

Buy another reader from it's original manufacturer.

It will never appear under this name here, Telefunken is no longer a good name.

That is not correct, a new company in Frankfurt/Main is working since about

1 year with the old name of TELEFUNKEN.

Hmm, neulich bei Kaufland: LCD Glotzen von Telefunken, AEG und Dual. Bei letzterem konnte ich mir nicht verkneifen die Verkäuferin zu fragen wo man die Schalplatte reintut...

Ich habe die Gelegenheit genutzt mein Mädel aufzuklären einen Bogen um diese "Marken" zu machen.

Wobei AEG m.W. nie Unterhaltungselektronik im Programm hatte. Daf=FCr war Telefunken zust=E4ndig. Gruss Harald
