The R5106 is an 8-pin delay chip made by Reticon - does anyone know of a modern day equivalent or a vendor that sells them please?

$35.00 bucks from this guy.
well, use a door spring and 2 horse shoe transformers, one as the modulator and the other as the pickup.!.. oh , don't forget to anti-shock mount it~! :)

I realise it's an out of stock part, but even so ................
I might just try that, at least it would be cheaper ......... ;-))
Thanks for the pointer anyhow, just hope I can find a much cheaper source.
