Hold your arm out away from your body, horizontal, elbow bent. Hold an accelerometer. Measure the steadiness (waveform and spectrum of vertical motion) for various people of different sexes, age, and physical conditioning. You culd also instrument his with some sort of capacitive or optical position sensor, or an LVDT maybe.

I'm guessing I can do well under 1 mm RMS vertical noise in, say, a

0.1-10 Hz bandwidth.
