PCB Design

Hi I am designing a control system PCB and i have a problem i don't know how to indicate vias in the PCB design i am using the free express PCB software ..

I think you just need to insert a corner in the trace where you want the via and then select the trace on either side which you want to move to the other plane and toggle the level from red to green or green to red. The via will be inserted and the trace will change colors. I just completed a PCB design using Express with many vias. Boards are in the queue at their fab.
