You will need a remote that can access the setup menu (the one where you tell the player your TV shape and what type of digital audio to output...). It should be in there somewhere under video options. A TV with a vertical hold control will be helpful so you can see what you're doing. There's a slight chance the original remote had a button specifically for PAL/NTSC. In that case you'll need the original remote. You'd be surprised how many DVD player people bring in for repair because they got changed to PAL. Andy Cuffe
