what sort of platform/board shall i use to menage a 40 Mbits/s MPEG
transport stream? I mean: i have to adquire it and demux it. Anyone did that?

What do you mean by this ?
Do you want to "acquire" the data as (e.g.) analogue NTSC or PAL signal and digitize and compress it ? Where do you want to output the data stream to ?

One possible solution: Analog Devices ADSP-21xx, SHARC, TigerSHARC, or Blackfin depending upon your pricing model and what else you'll be doing and how many you will be making.
