Metrowerks PPC command line and IDE help

Sep 19, 2006 1 Replies

We are using the latest version of Metrowerks for the PPC on and XP machine and need to do some builds using the command line. The docs on the command line version of the compiler basically don't exist.

Is there anyone out there that knows how to use multiple include paths in the MWCIncludes environment variable?

If we don't set MWCIncludes then compiles don't find stdio.h. If we do set it, the compile can't find ansi_prefix.PPCEABI.bare.h.

We have also tried putting both paths on the command line using "-I" and "-nodefault". Neither works.

We also would like to do some compile time defines in the IDE. the "-d" works on the command line, but there doesn't seem to be an equivalent in the IDE.

Why should you build under command line environment? Metrowerks for PPC is a ultra cool IDE that you should build either kernel or application program with the GUI interface. It is much easy to do this too. Please let me know if you have any special requirement and what's kind of program you try to build under command line.
