2n4416 jfet equivalent?

Anyone recommend an equivalent to the 2n4416 jfet? Trying to build this FM radio.

That's a metal-case part, the plastic TO-92 equivalents include 2N5484, 2N5595, 2N5586, 2N5555, PN4416, MPF102, J304, J305 and others.

In surface mount, MMBFJ304, MMBFJ305, MMBF4416, MMBF5484, MMBF5485, MMBF5486.

Just wondering, any particular reason the original designer of the radio would choose a metal case part?
