Quick question.
What is the maximum length of a PCI buss? I have a 1U mother board but the PCI slot is in the wrong place and I need to extend it.

Just check out some motherboards. I've seen PCI buses extend over several inches (from chipset to the connectors). The bus loading is way more critical.

I know Tprop must not exceed 10ns @ 33mhz. But how much loading is acceptable, with a extender that uses ribbon cables. This tends to become an empirical thing, because modeling it would be fairly difficult.
