OT: Google Analytics is spastic

    act differently; the first is NEVER seen by GA and the second is a "sometimes" thing.

    is sometimes "missed". When GA traps/gets it, the results alternates between what i call "default" and strings i passed on (see PNG attached).
  3. Once GA traps/gets something, i can go to any other site and so NOT BE ACTIVE, and GA insists one active visitor. Clearing cache makes no difference. Only if i log off of GA and log back on, do i have a chance that i see zero active visitors.

Naturally, i cannot see how to post this in their forum.

Run Piwik.

You are just giving the Google spy factory more data. I block Google Analytics. It speeds up browsing. I could block Piwik, but I don't since it only gathers data that is on the server anyway. It just organizes it for the webmaster. Even then, it doesn't store the who IP address, though the data is still in the server logs.

Sounds like a good idea, but it looks like one's ISP must have some part of it installed. That makes it a non-starter.
