Yep, it snowed most of the day here.

I'll take a cold winter if it stops the massive carbon tax from happening. I just hope that somehow, someday these scaremongers will pay for their folly.
Global warming would mean more water is pumped into the atmosphere. Hot -> water falls out of the sky.
Global cooling would mean less water is pumped into the atmosphere, so there would be less precipitation. Cold -> dryness.
What does early snow mean?
That is an understandable hope. If the predictions of runaway anthropogenic global warming are wrong, everybody - including the people who are making the predictions - will be a lot happier.
Of course, if they are right - and the scientific evidence is pretty persuasive if you know enough science to be able to follow it - we are well on the way to provoking the sort of climate change that made the Eocene-Paleocene Thermal Maximum such an interesting time for the organisms that were inhabiting the earth at the time.
The human race is pretty adaptable, and might well survive such an event, but human civilisation is less robust, and our population would probably crash back to Paleolithic levels, and the descendants of todays' scaremongers will pay for their ancestors' folly in not making their case scarey enough.
You should read Jahred Diamond's book "Collapse", which looks at a couple of human societies whose popuations crashed after their local environment changed.
Your response - ignoring the problem in the hope that it would go away
- does seem to be the one adopted by the leaders of these communities.
There's no evidence that the survivors has the spare time to treat the graves of their leaders with the contempt that those leaders had earned.

Means that it's friggin' cold.

Only in those states where the general populace swears by global warming. Here, in AZ, the weather is just absolutely delightful ;-)

You are applying your incredibly smart logic for all of us to see?
Let me see .... cold as heck means global warming ?
another friggin stroke of scientific genius!
I hope they'll pay too but somehow I reckon it will be we taxpayers who foot the bill for something that makes no difference to something that doesn't even exist. Biggest con of the millennia IMHO.

Ian
Wrong. There will a large number of very pissed off people who have paid huge taxes to try to stop something that never existed.
Cheers
Ian
And, as usual, those taxes then won't go away for a hundred years or so because the "revenue" was earmarked for pork barrel and gravy train projects. How long was it that we paid for the Spanish-American war through a telephone surcharge (aka tax)?

Right. Hot -> more clouds -> higher albedo.
Exactly! The climate is self-regulating, and the warmingists are idiots.
Cheers! Rich
Stop being logical. The AGW fans have figured out that a warmer climate will result in less evaporation, global drought (but lots of killer hurricanes), crop failures, insect infestations, malaria, and a millenium of ugly swimwear.
John
An early snow doesn't mean it's cold as heck.
It might have indeed gotten colder, earlier, causing a normal amount of water vapor in the air to condense (or sublimate)and fall out.
There may be be normal temperatures, but higher humidity, causing more vapor to condense and fall.
Or it might feel "cold" but actually be warmer than usual, with higher humidity, condensation, and precipitation.
Well, believe it or not, but the invention of the alcohol-filled thermometer by the Grand Duke of Tuscany did in fact make it across the pond :-)

Sublimate condense
So this is a new kind of global warming, one that feels cold.

Here's some reading and 2 days until the movie is released.

No, no, the warmingists have now coined a more broad term, "climate change". Just to cover all bases, just in case it does backfire ...

I know you're a secret Obama fan.

At [the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in] Copenhagen, this December, weeks away, a treaty will be signed. Your president will sign it. Most of the third world countries will sign it, because they think they?re going to get money out of it. Most of the left-wing regime from the European Union will rubber stamp it. Virtually nobody won?t sign it.
I read that treaty. And what it says is this, that a world government is going to be created. The word ?government? actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity. The second purpose is the transfer of wealth from the countries of the West to third world countries, in satisfication of what is called, coyly, ?climate debt? ? because we?ve been burning CO2 and they haven?t. We?ve been screwing up the climate and they haven?t. And the third purpose of this new entity, this government, is enforcement.

Depends on where you're standing.
It's unusually warm and humid over the Great Lakes region, wind is out of the North, and so it's snowing in New York City.
Valley below me was filled with a thick fog yesterday morning, while here above the cloud tops it dawned crystal clear. After our early and heavy rain event, Valley residents awoke to yet another gloomy day. They were able to see outside their fishbowl after a couple hours.
