Sure, but tax cuts *help* starve the beast, just as drunk sailoring[*] feeds it.

Only if spending is restrain. The GOP cut taxes *and* increased spending. No starvation today, only future destitution.

I don't recall ever saying that GWB was a conservative, only that he was far better than the alternatives. He did have the banking crisis right, unlike your leftist heroes.

_Kill_?

Heh. Heh heh.

Oh, their -souls- are in no danger.

On 2009-11-09, Otto Bahn (aka Bruce) was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea:

Crap on you for doing that joek before me.

If you tax wealth instead of income, you promote liquidity of cash, and therefore help the economy explodiate even more exponentially fast!

Win!

Shy are you bring GWB into the discussion? The spending bills originated in the GOP dominated Congress. All he did was sign them. He was good at doing what he was told.

BTW, I don't have any heroes who are also politicians.

Without taxes we'd have infinite inflation!

The problem is when government spends more than it rakes in. Cut spending AND taxes.

Just think of how many US people are employed by government. To cut gov't spending, you need to lay off a large part of those employees, while dropping much of the departments where gov't really has no business, under the Constitution.

Heck, you could get rid of ATF (F-troop). FBI could take over most of it's -legitimate- duties, and do it better, too, while getting rid of the unconstitutional gun laws.

1) You have such a case of BDS that I thought I'd help you out with your hate. 2) GWB was the head of the Republican party (and republican party). He was sorta important in the decision making process.

Not that you'll admit to, but you do. You love all socialists.

You say that like there is some sort of problem with the idea.

Just change the name to ATM. Keep all the good stuff in one place. ;-)

Any reason you feel the need to project motivations on others? Perhaps you don't have a rational basis for your positions? I thought so.

the problem is that all those gov't workers are going to -oppose- any effort to downsize gov't. That makes it very difficult to reduce gov't spending and waste.

One big problem is that once enacted, gov't programs don't ever end. They should only be authorized for 5 years, then require proof of effectiveness and a revote to continue funding them,or else they automatically expire.

Not really. He was reading a story about goats while the decision makers were deciding whether or not to take down airliners full of American citizens.

They could have nailed every one of those jets with Navy SA missiles or air-to-air missiles, but they froze instead.

I don't believe that krw has made this particular claim before. It is obvious that he can read text, otherwise he wouldn't be able to read and respond to the text messages on the usergroup, but he doesn't seem to read books or reflective articles magazines with any kind of inteelctual content.

Bush Derangement Syndrome.

It wasn't "freezing",it was not contemplating that sort of attack being made, and being unprepared for it.

shows how little you know about American air defense in the CONUS and/or Capitol. You have no idea of how commercial AC are monitored or response time of air defense fighters in peacetime status. Also,a very busy commercial airport is very close to the Capitol.

BTW,you proably didn't know that since then, the WH is defended by NASAMS,a ground-launched AIM-120 AMRAAM missile system.

Oh,and for the NAVY to use a SAM,there has to be a Navy SHIP somewhere in the vicinity, and on alert and ready for such an attack.

Even after a large commercial airliner is "shot down",the "killed" plane still makes a big mess wherever it lands.
