My three food groups are beef, onions and ketchup -- not catsup. I know I support John Kerry by buying Heinz, but I claim this one dispensation that I can buy Heinz Ketchup.

And the government jobs that are being created are not productive jobs.

These idiots are concerned about fairly splitting the pie, but the pie is gonna drastically shrink with these guys environmental, tax, health care and energy policies.

I liked Heinz LONG before I knew the Kerry's were involved. So, I claim squatter's rights on this one too.

Not that I dislike Kerry per se, but the Dems could have fielded a more winnable candidate...

Interesting about Video Professor. I never would have figured that for a scam. Very slick operation, from the sound of it.

Here's another scam - OK, not really a scam, but sort of...

Hummingbirds. -

(Turns out, most of them don't hum at all!)

I wrote to the tuna hotline and complained that there wasn't

6 oz. of tuna in my 6 oz. can...yes it was several years ago before the cans got smaller... After several vague responses, they admitted in writing that I could expect 3.5 oz. of tuna in a 6 oz. can. So, yes they're all crooks.

Another scam received in the mail today. This one is from Construct Data Publishers.

The scam:

For $1,717/yr. (for 3 years, with a 1-year auto-renewal if you don't cancel), they will publish your basic company information online at

Wow.!!! Like anyone would ever find our Company there -- and note, their online tradeshow guide is not the official guide of ANY trade show.

Just a complete, total, waste of money.

But, the scam must work? It had to cost at least $0.35 or so to mail us the Order Form.

The big business scam in Cal. is for your official documents storage. The scammers send an official looking envelope and document telling you that you need to store your official corporate documents, such as meeting minutes, statement of information, etc. and that for a small fee (usually in the $150 to $250 range) they can fulful these requirements for you. Of course , you DO have to keep these documents, there is just no reason to have them 'officially' stored off site. They just rely on the fact that it looks official, and most businesses just pay the bills anyway...

Yep. The gov. is the biggest by far, in dollars, in scope, etc. And here's the biggest of them all:

Off hand, today's banner--health care deform[sic]--and half the headlines lie.

It all adds up, you're just using the wrong math. After all, six is the new ten. (Six years' services, ten years' taxes)
