So they claim. For a symmetric transistor, V_EBO = V_CBO, so this one isn't quite symmetric, but it's a lot closer than most.

Nice paper. But my mistake. The ~10 kHz peak I was recalling was when the regulator output bypass cap had too much ESR. I was measuring a bunch of these yesterday and looked at the noise again. (Regulator is LT3080,
Noise was basically flat out to ~300kHz at about 100nV/rtHz. (numbers are a bit "loose".) Which at least agrees with the 50 uV of noise on the spec sheet.
The cap multiplier knocks this down to >2nV/rtHz.. with the "better" transistors... and 3nV otherwise. I wrote the specs to say 2nV, (somewhat arbitrary) So when I run out of the "better" 2n4401's.. well I'll have to do something.

I've been looking for an excuse to try out Win's fave low-Rbb' BJTs, the ZT X851/951. They'd be good for the lowest ultimate noise, but their betas are a bit wimpy for Cmult service. (AoE3, P. 501)
