interesting numbers

Or a "flat" income tax on personal income (zero corporate income tax).

Personal tax rates are on the left side of the Laffer curve, too.

Yes, that would work too.

Right. Personal income tax won't drive many people out of the country. Business taxes do drive jobs away.

Yes, in addition some more reasons might be

- rating of police officer performance by number of arrests.

- making arrest records available on the web and routine use of "background checks" before employment. Meaning once you have been arrested (let alone convicted) for anything you are likely to become part of a permanently unemployable underclass.

- mandatory sentencing and "three strikes" laws, with very long sentences for certain crimes.

  • Translation: QUOTA They all deny that a quota exists, but promotion and pay depend on "performance". "Go out there and write tickets to support your K+ salary!"
  • Check; does not matter if arrest was based on a total fabrication made buy a known liar. Al Capone is STILL a criminal and will be so forever; matters not that he has been dead for a few daze or so...

When police needs money "civil asset forfeiture" is so much easier, just take someones car/money and say they smelled like marijuana or was near a drug deal

YES! The "civil asset forfeiture" makes it absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to get back the stuff, with ZERO regard to the facts, no matterhow innocent the person was/is. The bullshit is that the THINGS were "guilty".
