Help converting wireless Keyboard to PS2

I have this KB in my hands. I did not pay anything for it. I do not want to buy a Keyboard. The close enough one is not close enough. It is not about the key set but the build.

Know anything about the innards ??

Then I would still have a Wireless KB that I want to convert for use on a PC. And a PS3 that I have no interest in.

You need to find the bluetooth chipset, figure out what the protocol going in to it precisely is, capture the serial stream , look up the USB and or PS2 protocol, buy a USB chipset if that's the route you take, tweak the serial stream to match what USB wants, figure out how to register your new device as HID, and there you go! If you're using this wireless keyboard, doesn't it have a receiver somewhere, or is that embedded in the box that the KB came with?

Idiot. PS3s work with wireless keyboards just fine.

Instead of attempting to convert a wireless device to wired, jut buy the cheap, wired version.

I am hoping to cannibalize one of the many PS2 KBs I have here and use the receiver to interface with the key matrix.

Will open it up this week and give a look to see if it is possible.

Since you do not have the brains to know that it is not feasible, you certainly do not have the brains to determine if it is by simply looking inside the keyboard shell and transceiver capsule.

The hint for the day:

It would be quicker to hack off the wireless portion at the keyboard and hook up a USB interface directly to the keyboard logic circuitry.

One job. Easy task.

Your idea requires hacking *both* the keyboard end as well as the transceiver/USB end, which is pretty much ludicrous, since you needed to ask about it here.
