16 is pretty much off the scale. I'm about 10 (depending on W) US/Canada- high instep- and I can barely find shoes big enough to fit in some countries.

Germany might be a good place for him to go shoe shopping- at least they have sizes of (relatively fashionable) women's shoes I've never ever seen elsewhere- up to women's size 14 or something like that. Das boot! I don't know anyone with feet that gigantic, just an clinical observation.

Just wonderful, i have learned three new words today already.

Our engineers, whether old guys or interns from the college, show up in wet suits and shorts and sandals... pretty much whatever we want. Well... to a point, I am certain.

Meeting room full of in-uniform-of-the-day allies from all four branches and about six nations, taking training on a new piece of fleet wide or joint service wide implemented gear... pretty interesting 'image' of some guy in shorts and sandals performing the instruction seminar.

We have a serious dress code.

Only New Yorkers can make the umlaut-o sound, and of course folks in Quebec. It sounds just like when Archie Bunker says "The point is ..." ^^ But me no care, George, Yorg, Jorge, I hear it all. The topper is Guide Dogs for the Blind. No matter how often I've tried to have them correct it, on the tax receipts for contributions I am Jerry.

That is not an actual color blindness but a severe disinterest based namespace limitation.

Thanks to some very creative namespace/conceptspace algorithms i trained into my NN/wetware i have nearly evaded that limitation. But then again i consider myself to be a specializing generalist.

Yo, Jim, a question: Is there a way to make that stupid semi-opaque bar in the lower 15% of the Skype screen go away?

Well, it's either a blind guy or a dog writing out the receipt, so cut them some slack.

I know not of what you speak. Is this during a video conference call that you see that? ...Jim Thompson

I had a "kiss my ass" confrontation with the coach... he wanted me to play line in feetsball. I became permanent basket boy and used it as my study hall. I ended up as Valedictorian >:-} ...Jim Thompson

Yes, during a video call with another engineer. When we hold sketches in front of the camera that thing gets in the way. You can see through it a little, like through a heavily tinted window. It has the buttons for camera on-off, mute and so on in there. Sort of an iPhone-esque appearance to it. The other engineer (who uses Skype a lot) says one can't make it go away. That would be strange.
