The UK is desperately trying to strangle itself by employing as manypeople as possible to control as many people as possible.I need to upgrade my domestic electrical supply to 100A but...Controller "We cannot upgrade your 60A fuse to 100A unless the tailsare 25mm.""But I am not allowed to do that."Controller "Exactly, you need a qualified part-P electrician.""But he can't wire up the extra load until the 100A fuse is fitted."(sung to the tune "there's a hole in my bucket")Controller "I'll send you out a load investigation form.You fill it inand send it back."I predict that the load investigation will report "The customer doesnot have 25mm tails in place therefore he cannot have the 100Aupgrade." and then I will dial:08701 963 090 and press "1" for "upgrade domestic supply" and the replywill be"you need to dial" 0845 234 0040 negotiate another menu or two, enjoyseveral minutes of the second movement of BWV 1068 in D major before ahuman being will tell me that "to upgrade domestic supply you need todial08701 963 090 and then I will "hold for general enquiries" while theyplay "There's a hole in my bucket." and then the Controller will say,"We cannot upgrade your 60A fuse to 100A unless the tails are 25mm..."CheersRobin

So we could drop cigarettes on the heads of one group of rats, and anvils on the other, and prove than anvils are more dangerous than cigarettes.
