The case look like it has been overheated, probably why the buton stucks :-)

Tektronix had a "habit" of using two 1/8 watt carbon comps in the "Y" configuration where inductance was critical, and only one where it was not, but still concern on HF. Similar size and shape...

I am sure you know a *lot* better than i; i just learned that trick

30+ years ago (or so).

That's impossible, because I invented it earlier this week.

That only counts if you also proclaim that Otis Street will be 3ft under in 100 years unless we all stop breathing out too much CO2.

That's a very good point. If we exterminated all the Demoncrats would that make up enough carbon credits such that Gore could keep flying his jet and keep scamming the public ?:-)

Hey, we're 45 feet above sea level. That's beachfront property. Company gondolas.

John

But be careful, the next big one might drop that to 40 feet ...

Our place is an old (late 30's?) concrete and wood building, sitting on sand, just at the northern edge of the Mission District liquefaction zone. We added three huge concrete footings and steel frames, and a lot of structural plywood on the floors and the roof, and bolted all that together. We figure it will likely be totalled in the next Big One, but at least we might not all be squished.

My father lives in Belleview and one of the canals comes right into his back yard. If I'm not mistaken, hasn't Florida been under drought conditions for a number of years now?

Yes. So much for Global Warning. We are under a no burn ban, once again. BTW, the 'Florida Greenbelt' runs right behind my house. that is where the "Cross Florida Canal' was to have been built. I live about two miles north of Belleview.

Shows part of the 'Green Belt', starting at the I-75 logo at the bottom left, and curving towards the upper right hand corner. It is still restricted for most uses, so it is mostly old stand trees. (Ones that didn't come down during all the hurricanes a few years ago.)

Email me with your dad's name. I might know him. :)

Does that mean that all of the swampland has been sold?

Dumb ass. There is no swampland in Central Florida. There is 'some' along the Gulf Coast, but most of the Florida swampland is protected, in the Everglades. how in hell can you have a swamp 100 feet above sea level, in areas with good drainage, and severe drought?

Ask the shysters that sell swampland but say the land is elsewhere like central florida or other desirable place.

Robert, did your parents have any kids that weren't paranoid idiots?
