Bean counters figure they might save a few dollars by making enemies of loyal customers.
Low pass filter made with a series AIR coil and shunt C to ground to attenuate the short HV spikes,
then an ordinary resistor to ground to provide DC path?

If I had such a coil, it's all I would need.
With the abolishment of discrete components with unique specifications like many older JFETs and PNP RF bipolars, effectivly kills the capabilities and opertunities of all but the billion dollar manufactures.
Do the shareholders understand this ?
