No, that only softens it. You need something more aggressive, like THF (which is the base of commercial cement) or methylene chloride.

I have had good results using standard hot-melt adhesive on PVC, but as always, 'it depends'.

There should be some stuff in your Home Depot by the name of 'Pipe Weld' or something like that. It's sold specifically for gluing PVC components.

There must be some gizmo that's pvc on one end and something else on the other. How about pvc with a pipe thread?

Successful trolls always give out too lille information to be useful, and I see you are in fine form.

Thermoplastic is any polymer that softens when heated and hardens when cooled that includes PVC.

So what's the other side?
