My cousin gave me a TV someone gave to him but is too big for his room. It works real good except for one problem, the picture is down about an inch and a half in the screen. I looked inside but could find no adjustments. Anyone know how to get the picture back up where it belongs?

Exactly, This NG exists for people to have fun learning and hopefully fixing things. If the picture is too small ie: in the centre of the screen with a black band top and bottom then there are two possibilities. The TV is set to widescreen or the caps in the vertical osc are failing ( maybe the Power supply to this section is low due to bad caps)

The picture is the right size it just moved down. Black band at top and an equal portion missing at the bottom, no black band at the bottom.
