replace eprom 2732

How can I use an eprom 27c64 to the place of one 2732?? thanks Nicola

You have to do something with the extra address line. Tie it high or low or to another address line. You don't say which 2732. 2764 and up had pretty stable pinouts.

2732s came in a variety of pinouts. You may have to swizzle pins. Your 64 is probably faster than the 32. Properly designed circuits won't care, but there are a lot of BAD circuits in the world. This all assumes you can program it and forget it. If you have to program it in circuit, a whole bunch of other issues come up. mike

The difference is a bit more than that - the 2732 is a 24-pin and the 2764 is a

28-pin package. So an adaptor of some kind is required to have a 2764 fit into an existing 2732 "hole".

If the O/P is referring to availability for a new or updated design, your comments are appropriate.
