Panasonic vcr error F05

Suspect split collar on the loading motor drive shaft (inside the worn gear). Could also have cracked slide lever assy.

F05 is a mech fault

entire mech will need to come out as the load motor is underneath the mech (no bottom access through cabinet) - the trick is that there is a screw which will now be under your stuck tape which has to be removed.

HINT- The tape can be extracted without damage.

The job is quite fiddly and there are other wear items to consider while you have it apart.
