Converting a 1 scart digibox to 2 scarts ?

Dirt cheap but 1 scart only but an almost punch-out in the case for a second scart for other models. To use on TV and a recorder. Easy to get in the case and cut out hole and mount a second scart. Can you just straight parallel jumper across the video and sound and ground lines (signal drop/ impedance problems?) and do you have to put a DC block in for aspect ratio control conflict?

The audio should be ok but the vision will be double terminated. The equipment fed from it *may' compensate but I wouldn't bet on it. And given how cheap these things are it's not worth the bother.

So for a 15 GBP Asda MDS V3 of 2008 its possible to add in a second Scart and so feed both a TV and recorder. Jumpered lines 1,3,4, 17,19,21 and no problems on this pair of TV and recorder. Nice obvious on/standby LED indication on these and echoing of zapper signal and retention of settings on power off , so can be used atached to a reserve/second recorder, without TV, for simple recording, after initial installation. Very much lower power consumption , one large NXP philips chip and not much else other than memory and tuner in these.

Also showed that the problem with 2 channels on the other digibox was not an aerial /feed problem but something internal to the unit, as the 2 channels now come in strong.
