My tv just randomly broke, the picture tubes got messed up . It was the blue and red ones, because my tv looks like the 3-d theatres...everything is wierd, and it hurts your eyes after a while. Anyone know how to fix a projection tv? Its sony.
Find the Generic TV Repair Kit at your local home fixit shop, then have at it!! <
Resolder the transistors or STK IC's on the convergence board would be a good place to start. If that doesn't work then one or more of those parts will likely need replacing.
I know Sony charges a flat rate minimum to come out for that repair, then they charge extra for parts and labor, least that is how they do it in my neck of the woods.
